For over two hundred years, the last of humanity has lived on Mars under the all-seeing eye of The Union. Life on Mars is bleak, nothing like the Utopia that was promised to the people before the great migration from Earth. Generations have been forced into backbreaking labor with little reward, and the masses live in constant fear of those in power. Unrest is rising. Change is inevitable. A revolution is on the horizon. Alerik and his team find themselves in the eye of the storm, pulled between opposing factions as they search for the truths that have been buried deep beneath the Martian soil. Time is running out and they will all have to pick a side. As they uncover the mysteries surrounding the settlement, they begin to realize that nothing is what it seems, and sometimes working with the enemy is the only way to save what matters most.

Great read! There are plenty of movies and books about life on Mars but this book gives the meaning a different twist. This book contains all things needed for a good Dystopian book, government corruption, deceit, religious fanatics, action, fighting, suspense with a little comic relief and a touch of romance. The two main characters have to figure out who is telling the truth, who to believe and who’s side to fight for if they want to survive or maybe make it back to Earth. There is a cliffhanger but just enough to leave an opening for the net book. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes the genre of books and anyone who wants something different to type, you will not be disappointed.

Reddened Wasteland is beautifully written from start to finish. After Earth as we know it becomes completely inhabitable, the only hope for humanity to survive is to re-build within a civilization built on Mars. Alerik Jacobs has always recognized the power some hold, but nothing compares to the way Velar has captured his heart. Velar is younger and more curious of the Union, questioning the true intent they have for the people and the benefits to everyone.
After Liberty’s Hammer begins to surface as a threat to everything the Union has built, Alerik is forced to work undercover within the mines while unsuccessfully protecting Velar from retaliation. A revolution is inevitable and sides will be chosen. With the only important person to Alerik having gone missing, he is faced with deciding who is responsible for breaking him.
This book was full of suspense, action, love and loss. I was heartbroken and inspired by the actions and emotion shared between the characters. The plot was amazing and easy to follow, as the characters were well-developed and easy to follow within their own struggles and threats.
I would recommend this book to all readers, regardless of their preferred choice of genre.

I loved this book… I like Alex! He says what he thinks even though he is an alcoholic and seems like a a**…
Eve is a smart girl but still falls for the cult stuff…
I really s*ck at writing reviews… especially big one’s… and i dont like giving spoilers… so just get it and read it… its a fast read but worth it!

And this one is sitting signed by the author on my bookcase!

A fantastic sci-fi tale of forgotten freedom in the not too distant future on Mars. Corruption politics, power, and greed must be brought to justice in order for the working class to survive. The lies and deceit are difficult for the two main characters to maneuver through, which makes trying to figure out who the good guys are a very difficult task.

Always fun when a believable love triangle is thrown in, even though this is far from a romance novel. Definitely more action and violence than soft moments here.

Be warned that there is a horrible cliff hanger at the end that will leave you pounding on Kyle Perkins’s door, begging for the sequeal!
